I thought 2017's Decibel Casualties was good, but it didn't really grab me; it was alright as an album played in the background. Six years later, Destructor are back with Blood, Bone, and Fire, and it's a whole new ball game and probably their best since the band came back some nearly 25 years ago. Lots of speed, lots of thrash, a powerful sound that obliterates the speaker, and more catchiness than you can shake a stick at. The guitars are blazing old-school speed/thrash like it's the '80s all over again; good luck keeping your air guitar in the closet and getting a lot of those riffs out of your head. The drums are pounding enough to punch steel beams into the ground, and the loud, powerfully delivered vocal melodies are so damn infectious, I can't keep them out of my head. It's just 35 minutes of pure thrashing fun.
