Black/industrial is a subgenre I rarely venture into, but the name caught my eye. This is a one-man band and the whole album sounds apocalyptic as fuck. There's a lot of "industrial noise" here and the metal is hidden somewhere in there and pops to the surface every now and then. There are spoken passages with this apocalyptic, end-of-the-world tone you'd hear in a movie in the genre when they're basically stating that humanity is fucked. When things get more metallic, then it's barely audible throaty or whispered rasps that sound creepy and dark as hell, which works very well with this musical barrage of noise. It's not something I'd listen to every day, but when you're in an apocalyptic mood, this is a good soundtrack to match. |
