Zero frills here, Cemetery Urn deliver some fast, thrashing death metal that sticks to the basics. The raspy vocals blend with the music, and don't bother trying to decipher that stuff. I don't find the album sounds all that dark (that may just be me having too much music), though it has its moments, but it's largely about in-your-face, chugging guitar riffs and comes off kind of catchy; sure thing is, it's hard not to headbang or at least tap your foot while this is on. You've heard this before, done better or worse, but if you enjoy in-your-face death/thrash with attitude to boot, this album will hit the spot.
