This is the debut EP for Bastard Cröss, a blackened thrash band out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a quick, evil affair with a lo-fi sound befitting the kind of music these miscreants play, which is in the same vein as bands like Wraith, Black Mass, Occult Burial, etc. play. That underground charm is the EP's saving grace as the songwriting is generic with nothing that stands out or makes Bastard Cröss' take stand out from the crowd. They do play with a lot of fire and energy, so while you may not remember any particular song, you will be hard pressed to forget the headbanging neck pain for days. |
