Some short and not-so-sweet grinding death metal here, with short-ish, in-your-face songs that pack a lot of punch. Lots of speed but not to the insane level, everything here is pretty straightforward. Nothing flashy, just raw death metal delivered with lots of attitude. The growls are barely decipherable, which is what is expected with this kind of death metal. It's likely that you've heard something like this before as the band really isn't stepping over any fences, but it's a fun listen that can give your neck a good workout. The closing track is a surprising cover of Halloween's "Trick or Treat," which I found barely recognizable. It does stick out from the rest of the album, yet it doesn't sound too out of place. Face-smashing fun for the whole family. |
