Debut for this Chilean band who are playing a very old-school breed of Death Metal, most influenced by classic stuff like Krisiun or Morbid Angel back when they were good. This is right in the mainline of Sudamerican Death Metal, being neither as techy as USDM nor as melodic and heavy as the Swedish sound. It walks a middle road, mixing enjoyable crunch with energetic flailing riffage. There's nothing on here you have not heard a billion times, but I still like hearing it done well. This is a short release, clocking under 30 minutes, but it shows a band with potential. |
