Third album from this Atmospheric Black Metal project, who may be turning into a genuine band, as they have recently added a real drummer, which you can hear on this latest full-length. Four tracks at over 40 minutes tells you a lot about what to expect here, though Ringarë do not have even a hint of a Cascadian sound to them, which is almost unusual in US bands these days. This is a sound that much more harks back to classic Emperor and the progeny thereof, like Evilfeast or maybe Vargrav. Long, involved compositions with strong riffing, addictive melodies, and keys for space and mood. It's not a new formula, but Ringarë do it very well. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
