I generally enjoy Black Metal with a touch of Doom, and this is a pretty good effort, if not really amazing. This is much more black with a slightly slower, more epic songwriting approach, and the sound is good, with a nice bite to the guitar sound. The songs are going for a big, booming approach, but often the common Doom nemesis of Boring rears its head. This sounds good, but the compositions don't really develop and resolve in any really satisfying way. I like it, but after it's over I can't remember anything about it.
