This is a one-man project originally from Ukraine, which only formed in 2021 and has been putting out an album a year since then. The music here is symphonic-edged Black Metal, in the vein of Emperor and Limbonic Art, but not as synth-laden as that makes it sound. This is more about the keys as an element to add space and atmosphere to the sound, rather than using them as a lead instrument. I like the production, which mixes the whole into a rather murky swell of sound, bypassing the too-clean sound this kind of Black Metal can get, and I like the way the music is mixed well over the vocals, so they don't distract. The compositions are a little rambling, and they don't sound that differentiated from each other, but even if this sounds like one long song, I don't get tired of it. |
