This band has been punching out somewhat uneven albums in the Heavy/Speed/Thrash vein for the past dozen years, and this is their fifth full-length. I like this, but it's juuuust short of being completely killer. The guitar sound is just a little too smooth, the songwriting just a bit too derivative, the hooks not quite as infectious as I would like. I enjoy this, especially the lead work and frontman "Mike Leprosy"—who has a spot on Lemmy-styled bark. This is a good time, but not really as good as it could have been.
