Third album for New York Death Metal band Hypoxia, who sometimes get billed as "Death/Thrash" even when there is not much thrashy about their sound except slightly more intelligible vocals. This is a band made up of veteran players who between them have done time in something like 50 different bands. This does not really lean into the NYDM sound, not being technical or guttural, but this does have a more complex edge to the riffs and some precise playing. This has good sound, with a crunchy guitar tone and sharp drums. The songwriting is not that memorable, and while I find this enjoyable while it's on, when it's over I can't remember much about it.
