Short and sweet this time around for Midnight, with Hellish Expectations clocking in at just over 25 minutes. They're still working their black/thrash 'n' roll, though it's not as dark compared to Let There Be Witchery and this comes off like just all-around fun, rocking blackened thrash. That Motörhead vibe is still there, with harsher vocals and a more aggressive style that nonetheless shows its origins. This is more fun than a lot of black/thrash out there. It's straightforward, catchy, and despite a more "accessible" sound than that of many bands in the genre, it still packs a lot of punch and doesn't lack in speed and heaviness. Hellish Expectations is short, but it's quality. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
