More grim and frosty black metal from these Canadians, Inter Duo Mundi almost feels like a blast from the past with it being so strongly rooted in the second wave. Melancholic, yet fast and brutal, the black metal on offer here is finely tuned to awaken all of your senses and will get you headbanging or reflective depending on what song you're listening to and really just what mood you're in at the time of listening. I've had times where the album didn't do much for me and others where I was all taken in. I like how the band mixes speed and brutality with strong melodies, and the atmosphere this creates will get you wherever you want to be depending on your mood when listening to it—kind of hard to explain, really, and maybe it's just me. No matter where this gets you, Inter Duo Mundi is a nice slab of expertly crafted black metal. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
