This is a Turkish band who have been around for over a decade, but this is just their second full-length album. This is total ripping Death Metal that reminds me of the greats from the old days of the early '90s like Atrocity, Morgoth, or Incantation—it really has that kind of freshness to it, like Death Metal used to sound back before there were nine million bands. Strange to say this sounds fresh when it is such a solidly traditional Death Metal album, but it's just there. This sounds like an album written in 1992 and only just now getting released, and I mean that as a compliment. Unearthly Litanies of Despair is heavy, savage, and aggressive—all the things we love Death Metal for. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
