Depravement are probably the most underground band in Finland today. Not only do they worship early '90s Black/Death in the vein of Beherit, The Lord Diabolus, and Blasphemy and corrupt it with some of the pace and sounds of early Greek black metal, not only is the production on this promo filthy and raw as fuck, but the advance physical tape of Omnipresence of Evil is limited to a measly fucking ten copies, of which mine is numbered the eighth. That is the kind of DIY misanthropy we don't sincerely get much of anymore, and that alone makes this band cool as hell even if they're not doing anything new. My one real complaint is that the indecipherable vocals are a bit too unrestrained and underground for me, but I'm sure these mad bastards would take that as a compliment before they spit hellfire into my poser face. Uncompromising, unrelatable, anti-commercial, and underground as fuck, Depravement fucking dare you to check them out without screaming into the night, so I only have one question for you: do you think you got the stones to face the omnipresence of their evil head on? |
