Very dark and cold black metal here, with Magistraal playing it fast, raw and violent with very haunting, creepy, screechy and raspy vocals. I'm reminded a bit of Old Forest on their first album in terms of how this feels like being lost in a creepy forest on a moonless night. There are more melodic and melancholic passages, sometimes bordering on epic, but that cold feeling never goes away. Basically the chilling atmosphere is king here and the band does a top-notch job of delivering it. No gimmicks, just very effective dark black metal.
