Germany's Infestation play an interesting blend of old-school and modern thrash metal. You can hear the likes of early Sodom and Kreator (among others) in their music, but it's delivered with the modern thrash style, cleaner and more refined and, at times, faster (these guys really like speed). The production is OK, but at times the music sounds a little thin and is overshadowed by the vocals, but there are quite a few moments where things sound better and then you can very well hear the crunchy, meaty guitars and the pounding drums. I can't say I love this, but it's good while it's on and, much to their credit, they don't sound like every other thrash band out there. No doubt this stuff kills live. |
