Cardiac Arrest so far have been a sure bet when it comes to killer death metal, and that's still true on Stench of Eternity. Speed and aggression aplenty, their death metal is not the heaviest and has a bit of a thrashy edge at times, even showing signs of roots in traditional heavy metal in the guitar work. When they're not going full speed ahead, they delve into a slower melodic, almost melancholic vibe to give you time to rest your neck until the hostilities start again. The riffs themselves are insanely catchy, I think I had 4-5 of them stuck in my head after the first listen. This is the kind of stuff that gets people going nuts at live gigs. Cardiac Arrest really have a knack for memorable, headbangable and air-guitar-worthy death metal, and Stench of Eternity is no exception. Pretty much mandatory if you like death metal that fucking rocks. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
