This is interesting: an album of doomy Death/Black Metal interspersed with spacey keyboard interludes and the whole thing is thematically based around a cosmic, outer-space mood. The "Space Overture" pieces break up the album, trading off with the actual songs. Even when the guitars are going, the sound of this is pretty moody and mellow, with a lot of keys mixed in. I like the idea of this, but I don't think the compositions really have enough weight to carry them through this running time. Agreeable, but not really substantial. |
