Third album by this Canadian band who have not really broken out yet, and I think I can tell you why that is. This is very polished, with a great production and tight playing, but there's just nothing that stands out about the songwriting. The opening song launches in a blast of chaos that had me anticipating something kvlt and unhinged, but then things settle down to a rather predictable groove that just never really catches fire. There are bits here that sound like Emperor, or Immortal, or Darkthrone, but this band does not seem to have much of an identity of their own.
