Second full-length album from the state of Washington's Greyhawk with more of the epic heavy metal they delivered on their previous efforts. Songs like "Steadfast" and "The Last Mile" feature big, booming vocal lines in the vein of Sabaton while "Sacrifice of Steel" combines the speed and epic atmosphere Manowar built their early career on. I wouldn't put Greyhawk at the level of either of those bands, but gone are the more accessible songwriting elements of the debut, making Thunderheart a bit derivative perhaps, but also a better album overall. Fans of epic metal and the wave of traditional metal bands that have been sweeping across the scene for the past several years can add this one to their collections safely.
