This band has not put out an album in over 10 years, and this is their attempt at a comeback of some kind. I didn't review their 2013 album, so I have not heard them before. This is Death Metal of some kind, though it is only kind of Melodeath and it flirts pretty hard with metalcore, given the staccato riffs and the vocal approach. Some of the riffs are not bad, even if the production does them no favors by putting everything in the background behind the vocals. The vocals are obviously intended to be the focus here, and they are not good, being a yapping style that recalls shit like Disturbed, sometimes doubled up with a screech and washed through a ton of effects. It's like having somebody yell in your ear, and it gets very old by track 2. There's not really any effort to have the vocals go with the music, and so they just steamroller over what little there is to like on this. Sadly, this is not worth your time.
