Some dark, heavy and punishing old-school death metal here, done the right way. This is one of those albums that makes you feel like you're being pinned to the ground with its unrelenting heaviness. I was a bit surprised to hear so much melody flourishing out of this dark offering as well as some cool memorable riffs and solos that really stand out. It's a bit like some classic heavy metal merged with deep, muddy death metal. The growls are somewhat decipherable but sound as haunting and out of this world as the music, something to help keep the neighbours at bay. I've been listening to this album for a while and it gets better with every listen. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
