This band actually released albums back in the 90s, but then they broke up and just got back to it in 2019 after nearly 20 years of inactivity. (Drummer Marcus Aust did time in the underrated Ninnghizhidda in the meantime.) Seeing this band is from Germany and named after a Lovecraftian god I was pretty sure what it would sound like, and I was not wrong. This is blistering Death/Black Metal in the vein of Belphegor or Marduk with precise playing, rampant aggression, and feral tremolo riffing. It's not anything you have not heard from a ton of bands, but it's solidly written and well played. |
