Some very dark and tortured black metal here, it's only 25 minutes worth of it, but it leaves a mark on the listener. Kind of doomy in atmosphere, but it goes beyond that with a bit of an apocalyptic feeling as well. I find the vocals really get to you, often overshadowing the music which is something you usually find in less extreme metal subgenres, but this guy here sure knows how to chill your blood. This is not headbanging material, rather something more akin to a soundtrack to the end of the world; the atmosphere is that fucking bleak and terrifying at times. It's sickeningly addictive, it's over too quickly and I always wish it went on for at least another half hour—hitting Play again has to do in this case. Not rocking or uplifting in any way, this is a fucking good horror show.
