Kingdom Torn Asunder is the fifth full-length album from Ohio's true metal warrior Andrew D'Cagna and his band Ironflame. D'Cagna, who handles all the instruments and vocals, apart from some solos, continues to refine Ironflame's sound that combines melodic speed and fury with epic, thundering riffs and instantly memorable choruses. Just about every track is a winner, from the blistering "Riding the Dragons" and "Standing Tall" to the smoldering "Sword of a Thousand Truths" and "Cold Flesh Falls," the latter a bonus track that is not to be missed. D'Cagna's vocals tie it all together, making Kingdom Torn Asunder a winner from start to finish. No one who raises a fist when albums like Visigoth's The Revenant King, Riot's Thundersteel and Hammerfall's Glory to the Brave are playing should miss Kingdom Torn Asunder.
