Well, it's pretty much a given that, so far, just about anything released by crossover thrashers Enforced is a safe purchase. At the Walls, much like the more recent A Leap in the Dark and War Remains, is another slab of crushing, face-ripping violent thrash that will get all that frustration you've been keeping inside out of the way. You just can't sit still listening to Enforced's music. The vocals are pissed off as fuck, the guitars are razor-sharp and kind of raw sounding, really buzzing the ears, and the fast, pounding drums are like an earthquake. Despite the demonstration of violence, there's a level of catchiness and staying power in most of the songs and I've found myself still headbanging when the album was over because that was all still playing in my head. Here's hoping Enforced will keep going what they do best. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
