A new Paragon is always an occasion for metal joy, even as their output has varied in quality. They have more good than so-so albums in their history, and only one I would even venture to call "bad". They came roaring back from a slump with Force of Destruction in 2012, and their work since then has all been solid even when it is not inspired. This 13th album sees them treading familiar ground once more.

This is as Paragon as an album can get. It is so much a product of this band that they could sue themselves for plagiarism if they wanted to. Does it sound a little recycled? Yeah, sure. Does it kick ass anyway? That it does. I do have to say that the lyrics on here are pretty bad, and Paragon have done much better in the past. If you like this band, then this is another solid entry in their canon.
