First time I hear this band even though I've been hearing about them for years. For some reason, I was expecting some rather brutal black metal, but Fasornas tid is actually quite melodic overall, sometimes reminding me of post-2000 Borknagar. If you are looking for a little violence, fear not as there are quite a bit take-no-prisoners speedy blasting black metal to be found here. There's kind of an epic atmosphere when things get more melodic, an odd balance with the faster in-your-face material. The vocals are the expected black metal shrieks for the most part, though there are some passages with clean vocals; personally, I'd have liked the album better without those, but your mileage may vary. Fasornas tid delivers a good mix of fast, raw and melodic black metal. See below for more interviews... ↓ |
