Saber is yet another band in the '80s traditional metal revival trend. I'd like to complain that there's too much of this stuff these days, but as long as there's quality, it's all good. Fortunately, this band does it right. Lost in Flames is filled with very catchy, energetic and upbeat songs that song like a mix of the most polished NWOBHM band along with so-called "US Metal" of the day and even a little hint of glam. Don't take the latter as a negative, after all there were some glam bands that were actually good. High-pitched, soaring vocals, crunchy guitars, cool solos, galloping riffs and thunderous drumming, it's all here and it's a hell of a lot of fun and will give your neck quite the workout. It's not one bit original, but when it's this well executed, who cares? Yet another one for those of you who can't get enough '80s-style heavy metal.
