This band has always had a weird name, and until now I haven't sampled what they do. This is an unabashed old-school band who are in that place where hard rock spilled over to metal along with bands like Riot, Krokus, Legion—that kind of thing. The sound is upfront and pugilistic, without much in the way of layers, just brass-knuckled riffs and frontwoman Christine Davis doing her thing without any backing vocals to speak of. She sounds pretty good, and she has a lot of presence, but I really think she could be recorded better. This has fistfuls of riffs, and some of them are really good, but the songs as compositions are pretty one-dimensional, and tend to run together. I enjoy this while it's on, but it doesn't stick.
