Brüdny Skürwiel is Polish for "Dirty Motherfuckers" and that should tell you what you need to know about this Black/Thrash bunch. This album lays down a raw and aggressive stripe of shit that draws equally on bands like Desaster and Celtic Frost, along with a touch of Motörhead as well. Thrashy riffs and ugly vocal barking make for a sound that is exactly what you would expect, but it's a cut above that in quality. A lot of bands like this try to coast by just on bullet belts and attitude, but Brüdny Skürwiel can back it up with energetic songwriting and enjoyable heaviness. This thing delivers. |
