Third album for this Swedish studio project, which is two guys in the sense of "A drummer and a guy who does literally everything else." If you are into dense, dissonant Black Metal with a melodic edge, like Lunar Aurora or Antaeus, then this is something to check out. The sound is big, the compositions are ambitious and layered with complicated structures and melodies, accentuated with keys and overlaid with a very dark atmosphere. For all that, not a lot about this sticks afterward. I like the sound, the riffs, the recording—but it all kind of blurs together. |
