Necrowretch certainly aren’t breaking any molds—with a name like that, they plainly aren’t trying—but at least they are doing what they do well. This is fast, hooky Black Metal in the general vein of stuff like Watain or Averse Sefira, but with an undercurrent of melody that keeps things more interesting than if it was just blasting away at full speed. The guitar sound could be harsher, but it does the job. I do wish the vocals had a bit more bite, but like I said, this isn’t trying to do anything really different. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
