Another quite decent slab of raw Black Metal from Ordealis Records, this time from The Netherlands. If anything, the one thing I'd complain about is the short length (damn EPs :)), for this is otherwise a real nice piece of work. This is raw BM with a bit of a horror atmosphere, reminiscent of early 90s BM (think Norwegian with a hint of French Black Legions sound) and without much innovation - a nod to the old school - yet this doesn't sound like some cheap copycat band or whatever. Agonising, violent, hateful and quite chaotic, with the added bonus of (very) raw production: Perditor will surely attract the select crowd that hungers for this stuff. For those who want some melody... Er.. Well.. There's a chick moaning in the background during "Nekromantik". :) Jokes aside, this is not the most original band out there, but what they do they do well. This is good enough to make me want to check out the band's back catalogue. |
