Both MetalMike and Sargon have already written reviews of this album, but I think they deserve as much exposure as they can get, so here's another one. Let There Be Dark didn't instantly hit me like 2021's Shock to the System did, but after a couple of listens, I was all in. The vocals of Sarabeth Linden have been a major highlight in this band, and that's still true here. Her voice is so deep and powerful and entrancing, the vocal lines throughout the album are bound to stick in your head on the first listen. Musically, the band are faithful to themselves, delivering powerful, catchy, upbeat heavy metal that sometimes gets fast enough to flirt with speed metal. There's a strong old-school vibe to this, but the band isn't one of those revival bands and they play it cleaner and more refined, all while delivering aggressive riffs and skull-crushing drums. As long as Tower keep this up, I'll be at the front of the line waiting for the next album. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
