I've never listened to The Lord Weird Slough Feg much, despite owning a few of their albums - a side effect of having too much music to listen to is that some albums don't get all the love they deserve. ;) Here they are back to their full name after going by Slough Feg for a few years. This is really cool traditional heavy metal with a strong epic vibe and a rather distinctive guitar sound that just screams "Slough Feg"; when you hear that guitar, you just know who you're dealing with if you've heard the band before. Also distinctive and another trademark of the band, the rough but very melodic vocals that I always picture getting a crowd singing along in one of those old pubs filled with regulars. Epic and folky to some extent. The music and the vocals are absolute earworms on this EP, with an upbeat vibe that gets the party going and lasting well into the early morning hours. Good stuff all around.
