Nice little 2-track EP from Norway's Malum here. Nothing particularly original, Malum offer us some turn-of-the-century fast black metal filled with melody, kind of raw but not too much. The music is cold and dark, melancholic and borderline depressing at times. There's nothing that really stands out, both tracks kind of blending together and the music just chugging along, the kind of stuff that gets the head bobbing and the foot tapping, but is also perfect for just kicking back, closing your eyes, and letting the melancholic atmosphere suck you in. Until it's time to hit "play" again, over and over...
