This is some pretty decent heavy metal featuring a couple of members of Hirax. It's pretty melodic stuff, though there's enough "crunch" in the guitars to keep things in line. The vocals are fine but maybe a little too soft for the genre; it takes some getting used to and it's especially at the beginning of the EP that they kind of clash with the music. I like this stuff fine while it's on, easy enough on the ears and there's the occasional cool solo that wakes you up from your trance, but there isn't much to remember once it's over. Not bad per se, but another release that's "just there." If you're looking for some melodic heavy metal with overly melodic vocals, this is worth checking out. |
