Fourth album for this US band out of Arizona. I reviewed their last one a few years ago and I just found it kind of dull, but this time out the music is much improved. This is classified as Death/Doom but is now coming down a lot harder on the "death" part, as this is mostly just very heavy Death Metal with a punishing guitar sound and some killer riffs. There do remain some slower parts that edge more towards Doom, but the slow monotony that marred Evergloom is gone. This band overall sounds a lot better when they speed up and just focus on crunching, hammering Death Metal. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
