This oddly named Polish band going by the moniker Lucille plays thrash metal that is anything but odd on their debut, Dawn of Destruction. Nope, it's old school west coast thrash all the way with pedal to the metal speed, wild, screaming vocals and shrieking solos. The music is chaotic yet melodic at the same time and I hear a lot of Hell Awaits-era Slayer and Pleasures of the Flesh-era Exodus in the songwriting with perhaps a bit of Toxic Holocaust's punk in the mix. This is not original in the slightest, but that isn't the point. If you want your thrash to get straight to business with no surprises, no ballads, no incorporating other genres, nothing but pure THRASH, Dawn of Destruction is your album. |
