I'll probably never get a chance to catch NWOBHM legends Diamond Head live, so I guess this is the next best thing. I was surprised to see that this was recorded at six different locations in the UK during their 2022 tour with Saxon because this 60-minute album flows just like it's one show, without any too-discernible differences in terms of sound. This album is packed with songs that cover the band's career, including their better-known songs—and that, of course, means those that may have been popularized more by Metallica covering the band in their early years. This is the kind of live album I really like; there's interaction with the crowd, but not too much, and listening to it makes you feel like you're there in person. Some of the songs come off sounding much stronger and heavier than on their respective studio albums. It's one of these albums that's over too quickly and leaves you no choice but to hit the play button again once it's over.
