I bought this album when I went to the band's album release show in Quebec City on November 14th. Pretty rare that I buy an album and then get the promo a few days later. ;) There's no bullshit here: Spirit of Rebellion play death metal deeply rooted in the early days of the U.S. East Coast scene—both New York and Florida, and it's safe to say that they can rub shoulders with the greats. The band isn't stuck just doing what's been done before, adding more modern death metal elements to the mix and blending all that very well. Not a dull moment here; these guys just play it pedal to the metal. Fast, heavy, brutal, relentless. What's not to like? |
