This looks like the kind of band you expect to be a solo act, but actually this is a band that formed when Wodensthrone collapsed, and so there are six people in this band, half former Wodensthrone members and half new members. This is said to be "atmospheric" but I find it pretty aggressive, with dense tremolo riffs and a decent amount of speed. It does have quite a strong melodic sense, and the compositions make a lot of space for more epic sounds, with keys adding extra mood to the whole thing, but it's not anything like Summoning, being much more akin to stuff like old Forefather. This isn't groundbreaking, but it is good. |
