Putridarium. The name itself gives you a good idea of what to expect, and that is filthy, putrid, crushing, old-school death metal. This stuff is slow to mid-paced and heavy with a gloomy, cavernous, deep sound that pins you to the ground (crank this all the way up and all your neighbours will move away). The growls are a perfect match with a gritty, deep style that sounds just as malevolent as the music. Nothing especially original here (is there such a thing these days?), and I wish it was a full-length, but Natvm Ad Mortem is 13 minutes of pure evil that calls for repeat play. |
