On their last album Kreator started out with the song explaining exactly what they were planning for the metal masses with the song Reconquering the Throne and with the rest of the Violent Revolution album they proceeded to put that plan into full effect. With the new release Enemy of God they have not only continued on that plan but have taken it a step further by eliminating the rest of the pretenders to that throne. All bow to the kings of thrash metal, Kreator.

The main thing that stands out to me on this album is not that it is a natural progression from the last album but everything that made Violent Revolution so good has been expanded on for this album. It seems to be just slightly more consistent throughout which is saying something considering how I was gushing over the last disc. There is just more of everything on here…more killer riffs, incredible solos, amazing work behind the kit and overall songwriting that just screams "bang your head or I am gonna kick your fuckin' ass!!!". There are some bands out there that do one thing and they do that one thing extremely well and for Kreator that is coming up with some of the best thrash metal known to man.

Will this album be considered a thrash metal masterpiece? Who really knows but one thing I am damn sure of is that this album does kick some major ass. Highly Recommended.
