Yet another juvenile US Death band obsessed with gore and surgery. The music on this isn't terrible, but there is nothing to really recommend it and the production is flat and uninteresting. This kind of sniggering 'look at the dead booooodiess!' crap is a pretty solid example of everything that is worst about the US metal scene. This stuff was amusing when Carcass did it like 15 frigging years ago, but so many damned bands have run this half-baked horror-movie crap into the ground since then that the only way it could make me puke is over how utterly boring it is. At least this isn't grindcore, but lame music combined with lame lyrics makes a very lame album indeed. Avoid. |
