Not that I was expecting much from a live album, but this is just average. Recorded during their tour promoting The Fourth Legacy, this live album is no Live After Death. Minimal interaction with the crowd, ridiculous comments from the frontman (zzzzzzzzz), plus most of the time you can't really tell that the songs are performed live. I already got a studio recording, I don't need a second one. Ok, enough bashing. The selection of songs is about 70% good, with only a few really mediocre ones that made their way onto the CD. I just wished they had used the whole 74 minutes on the CD. Three rare tracks are added at the end, but nowhere nearly good enough to compensate for a very average live performance - at least on CD. I guess you have to be there. This one is for die hard fans only. Otherwise, just get their studio albums. |
