"Death/Black" anything is rapidly becoming my least favorite sub-genre. In theory if you mix the raw attitude of Black Metal with the heaviness of Death you should get something cool, but in practice, that isn't the case. Oh sure, there are bands who do this kind of thing well, but like every genre, for every one of those, there are 4,535,622 bands that do it badly. Ered are one of the latter. Man, I thought The Legion was boring. Here we have 35 minutes of faceless, featureless, utterly clichéd blasting and completely generic riffs. I wish there was something nice to say about this, but, well, there isn't. All I can say is, I have never heard anything quite *this* generic before. Snore. |
