Whoa... What the suck? From my past experience with this band's material, I was expecting something much better than this. The worst offender here is the vocal work - take everything that annoyed me on Abigor's Satanized album and fill an album with it and that's what you get here. There are a lot of very stupid-sounding vocal effects that sound more like a bunch of drunk chipmunks than the good BM vocals one would expect to hear from this band. That alone is enough to ruin the album. The music itself overall is not bad, although on occasion things get very repetitive, disorganized (in a bad way) and at times really uninspired. Unfortunately, the bad far outweighs the good on this one. They had a few good ideas but didn't pursue them. Everytime something starts sounding good, they blend it some crap to ruin it all. I don't know what happened here, but if you're going to get yourself some Enochian Crescent, steer clear of this one and get one of their previous releases. Pass! |
